Anyone out there have absolutely nothing to do at work and you feel like your boss has ignored you? Explain.?

I'm in that situation now. My actual boss is in an office that's 600 miles away and I haven't talked to him in a month! I don't want to tell him I have nothing to do for fear of getting in hot water. When I do have things to do I get them done quickly and do quality work. I guess that's why I'm still on staff!
